XL710-QDA2在使用非Intel的QSFP+线缆时禁用了Rx/Tx：i40e报"unsupported SFP+ module type"
楼主在Ubuntu 16.04上为一块Intel XL710-QDA2双口40GbE网卡编译并加载了i40e 3.4.2。驱动加载没问题，但一插上非Intel的QSFP+线缆，dmesg就报出"Rx/Tx is disabled on this device because an unsupported SFP+ module type was detected."，链路也起不来；他们想知道是不是非Intel的QSFP+线缆就是不兼容，有没有办法允许不受支持的模块。几个月后另一位用户在Ubuntu 16.04（内核4.4.0-138-generic）上用i40e 2.4.10和固件6.01 0x800034a4 1.1747.0报告了一模一样的故障：ethtool显示"Link detected: no"，速率和双工都是unknown，dmesg里还额外打印了"Refer to the Intel(R) Ethernet Adapters and Devices User Guide for a list of supported modules."

Intel支持表示，只应该使用XL710兼容列表（Intel文章000006051）里经过验证的线缆和模块，被直接问到时也确认了：这块网卡没有任何被支持的方式可以允许不受支持的SFP/QSFP+模块。
建议通过Intel授权经销商(locate.intel.com)购买经过验证的线缆。能否把网卡白色标签上的序列号,以及QSFP+线缆的具体品牌和型号发给我们,我们再进一步核实?
针对第二位用户，支持人员要求提供内核版本、线缆的品牌/型号、产品标签上的标识，以及ethtool和ethtool -i的输出，以确认固件和驱动版本；该用户提供了这些信息（i40e 2.4.10，NVM 6.01），但在留存下来的讨论内容里，除了使用经过验证的模块之外，没有出现其他解决办法。
