Intel support ने कहा कि सिर्फ XL710 compatibility list (Intel article 000006051) वाले validated cables और modules ही use करने चाहिए, और सीधे पूछने पर confirm किया कि इस adapter पर unsupported SFP/QSFP+ modules allow करने का कोई supported तरीका नहीं है।
मैं Intel के authorized resellers (locate.intel.com) के through validated cables खरीदने का सुझाव दूँगा। क्या आप white sticker से adapter का serial number भेज सकते हैं, साथ ही QSFP+ cables का exact brand और model, ताकि हम आगे check कर सकें?
दूसरे user के लिए, support ने kernel version, cable brand/model, product-label markings और firmware व driver पहचानने के लिए ethtool और ethtool -i का output माँगा; user ने वो दे दिए (i40e 2.4.10, NVM 6.01), पर thread के जो हिस्से capture हुए हैं उनमें validated modules use करने के अलावा कोई और remedy नहीं दिखता।
