Debian: rmmod ixgbe; modprobe ixgbe allow_unsupported_sfp=1, इसे /etc/modprobe.d/ixgbe.conf में options ixgbe allow_unsupported_sfp=1 से persistent बनाया।
FreeBSD/OPNsense: /boot/loader.conf.d/ix.conf में hw.ix.unsupported_sfp=1 जोड़ें और reboot करें।
किसी भी OS के लिए permanent fix: ethtool से EEPROM offset 0x58 को 0xfc से 0xfd में बदल दें।
