Aruba 2540, allow-unsupported-transceiver के बाद भी Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU3M DACs reject करता है
Poster Aruba 2540 switches (JL357A, firmware YC.16.09.0001) को Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU3M DACs इस्तेमाल करके Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches से जोड़ना चाहता था। allow-unsupported-transceiver enable करने के बाद भी cables recognise नहीं हुए: show tech transceivers ने port को unsupported बताया, LED orange flash करने लगी और log में लिखा port 52 Transceiver type not supported in this port। Poster ने मान लिया था कि यह command किसी भी DAC को काम करा देगी।

allow-unsupported-transceiver सिर्फ switch को एक module try करने देता है; HPE document करता है कि third-party parts के काम करने की कोई guarantee नहीं है और support से मना किया जा सकता है। यह देखने के लिए कि DAC क्यों reject हो रहा है, debug logging enable करें।
मैंने DACs पर उम्मीद छोड़ दी और इसके बजाय SFP+ LC fibre optics (या दूसरे links पर LACP) इस्तेमाल किए।
