The poster owned a MikroTik RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT (hAP ac) with a single SFP cage and had two spare 850 nm modules on hand: a Cisco-branded AFBR-57F5PZ-CS1 and an Intel-branded FTLX8571D3BCVIT1. The ISP delivered the service over a single fibre strand rather than a duplex pair, and the poster wanted to know whether either module could be used and whether any configuration would be needed. Nothing had been tested yet; the question was whether the modules were even the right type for a 1G SFP cage and a single-fibre handoff.

Neither module fits the use case: both are 10G SFP+ parts (and the Cisco one is an 8G Fibre Channel module, not Ethernet), while the router only supports 1G SFP. A proper 1G module for the ISP link is needed.
A single-strand handoff means a BiDi (single-fibre working) module whose TX/RX wavelengths match the ISP side must be used.
