कोई भी module इस use case में फिट नहीं बैठता: दोनों 10G SFP+ parts हैं (और Cisco वाला एक 8G Fibre Channel module है, Ethernet नहीं), जबकि router सिर्फ 1G SFP support करता है। ISP link के लिए एक ठीक 1G module चाहिए।
एक single-strand handoff का मतलब है एक BiDi (single-fibre working) module इस्तेमाल करना होगा जिसकी TX/RX wavelengths ISP साइड से match करें।
