Catalyst 2960L LAN Lite में third-party SFPs के लिए 'service unsupported-transceiver' command नहीं है
Poster एक Cisco Catalyst 2960L-48TS (LAN Lite feature set, image c2960l-universalk9-mz.152-6.E2b) में third-party SFP modules इस्तेमाल करना चाहता था. global configuration mode में 'service unsupported-transceiver' डालने पर सिर्फ command error आया क्योंकि इस platform पर CLI को यह command पता ही नहीं है; 'no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid' भी बिना किसी असर के try किया गया. 'show int status' में interface ठीक दिख रहा था, फिर भी third-party SFPs काम नहीं कर रहे थे, जबकि वही modules एक Catalyst 3750 में काम करते थे जहां unsupported-transceiver command मौजूद है. Poster ने workaround पूछा और यह भी कि क्या switch को LAN Lite से LAN Base में move किया जा सकता है.

इस software release पर LAN Lite feature set में जरूरी commands हैं ही नहीं; 'service unsupported-transceiver' हो या 'no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid', दोनों के लिए higher base feature set चाहिए.
Catalyst 2960-L का license level fixed होता है: LAN Lite को LAN Base में upgrade नहीं किया जा सकता (न ही downgrade), तो command को unlock करने का कोई रास्ता नहीं है.
'no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid' try करें - newer code में यह command interface configuration level के नीचे चला गया है. आप कौन सा IOS version चला रहे हैं?
