Un J9151E SFP+ Aruba originale mostra Unsupported Transceiver (SelfTest Err#128000) sugli switch 2930F

Su switch Aruba 2930F (JL255A) l'autore ha installato nuovi transceiver SFP+ 10G J9151E (part 1990-4727) che la guida ai transceiver elenca come supportati, ma ogni unità veniva riportata come Unsupported Transceiver (SelfTest Err#128000) e show tech transceivers mostrava ?? per tipo e seriale. I DAC J9281D negli stessi switch funzionavano. Quattro switch e quattro transceiver sono stati testati incrociati, sono stati provati i firmware WC.16.10.009 e WC.16.10.0016, gli switch sono stati riavviati, i moduli reinseriti e allow-unsupported-transceiver è stato abilitato, tutto senza successo. Un autore successivo ha incontrato lo stesso problema con più di 100 unità.
