MikroTik CRS226 SFP+ port does not initialise after a cold boot with a Huawei MA5671A GPON stick
On a CRS226-24G-S2+RM (RouterOS 6.42.11 long-term) the SFP+ port stayed at no link, not running, slave after a power loss, while software reboots were fine; disabling and re-enabling the interface fixed it manually. The problematic module was a Huawei MA5671A GPON SFP, other SFPs behaved, and the same setup worked on a CRS125. Upgrading to 6.46.3 did not help. Other users later repotred the same on CRS328 and RB5009 with GPON stiks.

Startup script toggling the interface (disable, delay 5 s, enable) worked about 60 percent of the time; a netwatch plus scheduler approach that re-toggles on failure was more reliable.
Newer RouterOS (7.16rc2 on CRS328, 7.17rc3 on RB5009) resolved the initialisation prolbem for othre users; a UPS mitigates power cuts.
