UniFi US-16-XG shows Rx fault on a new SFP+ link to a Tehuti TN9310 NIC
A first-time SFP+ deployment between a UniFi 16XG switch and a Tehuti Networks TN9310 SFP+ adapter, with transceivers the reseller called compatible, produced an Rx fault indication in the UniFi controller. Swapping the fibre ends (polarity) did not help. Hardware involved: Ubiquiti US-16-XG, Tehuti TN9310, 10G SFP+ (reseller-supplied pair).

Check for a bad cable or crossed strands, mismatched wavelength or optic types, or a UniFi incompatibility.
The likely cause was the NIC: the Tehuti card needs a propietary driver and had no XCP-ng support, so the host side never lit its transmitter, which the switch reported as Rx fault; the poster decided to switch to an Intel SFP+ NIC.
