An Aruba/HPE 2530-48G-2SFP+ on firmware 16.01.0012 logged Port contains a transceiver not made by Hewlett Packard Enterprise with the advice to use only genuine transceivers, and refused the modules; ironically one of the rejected transceivers was HP-branded. The poster asked whether a command exists to permit third-party SFPs. A later reader on a K.16.02.0026 chassis (5400 zl class) could not find the command at all.

Upgrade to 16.02 or later and run allow-unsupported-transceiver in configuration mode; the poster confirmed it worked after moving to 16.02.0016.
The undocumented feature exists only in releases 16.02.0013 and later for 3810M, 5400R, 2920, 2930F, 2930M, 2540 and 2530; the K/KA firmware of 5400zl/8200zl never gets it, so those chassis would need a 5400R upgrade.
Alternatively ask the supplier to recode the modules for HP; some firmware versions reject modules that others accept.
