Which SFP+ modules to buy for EdgeSwitch 48 Lite uplinks and an Intel X710-DA2 server NIC

The poster planned a server with an Intel X710-DA2 dual-port SFP+ NIC connected to two Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 48 Lite units, with LACP between the switches. Six 10G SFP+ modules were needed (two for the server side, four for the switches) and the question was which modules would be recognised by both the Intel NIC (known for rejecting non-Intel-coded optics) and the EdgeSwitch, so that the link would come up without vendor-lock problems.
- Hardware: Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 48 Lite (ES-48-LITE), Intel X710-DA2
- Transceivers: 10G SFP+ SR 850 nm (Intel-coded)
- Form factor: SFP+
Symptoms / messages:
pre-purchase module selection
vendor lock concern

Check the community-maintained EdgeSwitch SFP/SFP+ and DAC compatibility list before buying.
Buy multimode 850 nm SFP+ modules coded for the Intel NIC in pairs and put one module of each pair on each end of the link; a matched pair from the same vendor is the most reliable way to bridge equipment from different manufacturers.
