MikroTik SFP+ ports में 1G optics: RBFTC11 तक forced 1G fail होता है जबकि auto-negotiation से CRS328 तक FCS errors आते हैं
SFP+ ports में 1G optics इस्तेमाल करते वक़्त 1G full duplex force करने की MikroTik की documented सलाह के उलट, एक Netpower Lite 7R एक RBFTC11 से सिर्फ़ auto-negotiation के साथ ही link हुआ (forced 1G पर link up तो आया पर packets एक भी receive नहीं हुए), जबकि वही Netpower एक CRS328-4C-20S-4S+ तक auto-negotiation के साथ भारी packet loss और FCS errors देता था और forced करने पर बेहतर चलता था।

Auto-negotiation port capabilities, configured speeds और module के ROM data को मिलाकर चलता है, तो यह ऐसी settings उठा सकता है जिन्हें forced mode नज़रअंदाज़ कर देता है; SFP handling भी RouterOS versions के बीच अलग-अलग होती है और कभी-कभी पीछे भी चली जाती है। कोई तय rule नहीं दी गई।
