Arista 7050QX unqualified third-party QSFP+ DACs वाले ports को errdisable में डाल देता है

EOS 4.14 चला रहे एक Arista 7050QX पर poster ने third-party QSFP+ DAC cables इस्तेमाल करने की कोशिश की; ports unqualified transceivers के तौर पर errdisable में चले गए। उन्होंने manufacturer check skip करने के लिए /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages के अंतर्गत XcvrAgent.py agent को patch किया, जिससे errdisable state तो साफ हो गई पर links notconnect में रह गईं और cables undetected रहे। Arista support ने जवाब दिया कि devices सिर्फ properly qualified transceivers को support करने के लिए design किए गए हैं और activation key देने से मना कर दिया, request को account team की तरफ भेज दिया।
