दोनों modules 1310 nm वाले 1G LX types हैं, तो ये आपस में interoperate कर लेंगे; हर एक duplex pair इस्तेमाल करता है, तो cable में fibres की संख्या सम (even) होनी चाहिए।
single-mode fibre को prefer करें: आजकल यह सस्ती है और आसानी से मिल जाती है, multimode सिर्फ existing plant के साथ compatible रहने के लिए मायने रखती है।
