Poster ने C9300-NM-4G network modules लगे कई नए Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches set up किए, GigabitEthernet1/1/1 को trunk के तौर पर configure और enable किया, पर कई SFPs में से किसी के साथ भी link नहीं मिला। 'show interfaces' 'GigabitEthernet1/1/1 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)' report करता है, साथ में 'media type is 1000BaseLX SFP' और 6 interface resets। 'show interface transceiver detail' से DOM output ठीक-ठाक दिखता है: Tx power -5.2 dBm, Rx power -4.7 dBm, सब thresholds के अंदर। 'show idprom interface g1/1/1' module को vendor 'OEM', part number M-SFP-LX-C, 1000BASE-LX, 1310 nm single-mode, 10 km, DDM implemented के तौर पर identify करता है। capture किया गया text सिर्फ़ opening post रखता है; बारह replies शामिल नहीं थे।
