Summit X670 QSFP+ in 4x10G mode gives no link with a 6-leg MPO-to-LC breakout cable
On an Extreme Summit X670 two QSFP+ ports were configured as 4x10G, the ports were set to 10000 full duplex with auto off and VLANs assigned, but a breakout cable with an MPO connector to six LC connectors produced no link on the QSFP+ sie or on the SFP+ side. Hardware involved: Extreme Summit X670, QSFP+ 40GBASE-SR4, MPO to 6xLC breakout cable, MPO to 4x duplex LC breakout cable.

The 4x10G mode requires an MPO-to-4x duplex LC (8-fibre) breakout cable; the six-conector cable is the wrong type. A 40GBASE-SR4 MTP/MPO-to-4xLC OM3 breakout was confirmed as the right kind.
