Reverse-engineering H3C/HP A5800 SFP coding: vendor bytes at A0h 60h-7Fh and A2h page 02h

The poster operated old HP/H3C A5800 switches (JC100A, JC103A) with many SFP modules of mixed coding. Modules with H3C in A0h bytes 60h-62h worked but logged This is not a supported transceiver for this platform, and DDM plus serial/date information were unavailable. Copying the full data from a working module removed the warning and enabled DDM, but then the serial number and date code (stored as ASCII in A2h page 02h at 80h-93h and 96h-9Dh) were wrong, and editing those fields made the switch reject the module again, suggesting an undocumented hash over bytes 75h-7Fh. The poster asked for the structure of A0h 60h-7Fh and A2h page 02h.
