H3C/HP A5800 SFP coding reverse-engineer करना: A0h 60h-7Fh और A2h page 02h पर vendor bytes

Poster पुराने HP/H3C A5800 switches (JC100A, JC103A) चलाता था जिनमें मिली-जुली coding वाले कई SFP modules लगे थे। A0h bytes 60h-62h में H3C वाले modules काम करते थे पर This is not a supported transceiver for this platform log करते थे, और DDM के साथ-साथ serial/date की जानकारी भी उपलब्ध नहीं थी। एक working module से पूरा data copy करने पर warning हट गई और DDM enable हो गया, पर तब serial number और date code (A2h page 02h में 80h-93h और 96h-9Dh पर ASCII में stored) गलत थे, और उन fields को edit करने पर switch ने module को फिर से reject कर दिया, जो bytes 75h-7Fh पर किसी undocumented hash की तरफ इशारा करता है। Poster ने A0h 60h-7Fh और A2h page 02h की structure मांगी।
