ONLP onlp_sfp_eeprom_read shifts QSFP EEPROM data on an Accton Wedge100BF (every other byte dropped)
On an Accton Wedge100BF-32x the ONLP call onlp_sfp_eeprom_read returned QSFP EEPROM data with alternating bytes skipped, so vendor strings appeared with every other symbol missing; the same transceiver read correctly on an Accton AS7312-54x. The vendor name FINISAR CORP appeared at the wrong offset (0x4A instead of 0x94), indicating a byte-alignment bug in the Wedge100BF ONLP library.
- Hardware: Accton Wedge100BF-32x, Accton AS7312-54x
- Transceivers: Finisar QSFP
- Form factor: QSFP
Symptoms / messages:
QSFP EEPROM data shifted, every other byte dropped
vendor string at wrong offset
